Ghana Premier League: Match Report- Hasaacas preserve 100% home record with Inter Allies win
Sekondi Hasaacas made it four straight home wins after beating Inter Allies 2-1 at the Essipong Stadium on Saturday in the Ghana Premier League.
The 1977 champions were dominant right from the start of the whistle and won three corner kicks after eight minutes.
Inter Allies had the first scoring opportunity to go ahead but Issah Yakubu shot feebly into the palms of goalkeeper George Owu.
Ahortor Gockel played Yakubu through but the former Asante Kotoko player chose the wrong option as his attempt at goal was saved on 27 minutes.
Five minutes later, Hasaacas launched a reprisal attack after lead striker Frederick Quayson’s header found partner Kojo Poku inside the box and he kept his cool to smash home for the opener.
Just after the break Tenneson Opoku had a ball laid to him from the edge of the box and his strike was appalling- high and wide.
Hasaacas snatched the second goal when Tenneson Opoku fired in on a half volley just before the hour mark.
Inter Allies were lucklustre but reduced the deficit against the run of play through first half substitute Eliasu Fuseini.
Left-back Patrick Kpozo dinked in a cross and Fuseini connected with his left foot in mid-air in the 78th minute.
Eleven Is To One tried to comeback but Hasaacas were too strong and repelled the scanty attacks from the visitors.
