Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has denied reports he is interested in returning to South Africa with Platinum Stars.

The former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper endured a frustrating one year spell in the rainbow nation with unfruitful spells with Orlando Pirates and Chippa United.

Dauda who was a member of Ghana’s silver winning team at the just ended cup of nations in Equatorial Guinea has since penned a short term contract with Ashgold.

But has consistently been linked with a move back to South Africa.

“I do not know about any deal with Platinum Stars or with any South African side,” Dauda told Ghanasoccernet.com

“I am concentrated on helping Ashgold and that is where the focus is.”

“All reports of me joining a South Africa side are untrue.’”

Dauda joined the Chilli Boys in July 2014 after making just two starts and one substitute appearance for Pirates in his only season with the Buccaneers .
