Ghana FA revises membership of Premier League Board, sixteen clubs involved

The Ghana FA has revised the membership of its Premier League Board (PLB) to involve representatives from all participating clubs in the division.
The PLB, the regulatory body for the Ghanaian top flight will thus have an increased number of personnel serving on its board with the involvement of all 16 Premier League clubs.
This forms part of the several changes being made by the GFA to make the organization of the Ghanaian top flight more effective.
Representatives of Premier League clubs have often complained about their non-involvement in key decision making processes regarding the organization of the elite division.
They now have a huge say in the way the competition will be run with their inclusion to the board.
“The membership of the Premier league Board has been revised,” Ghana FA’s Acting General Secretary Emmanuel Gyimah announced.
“We are inviting all 16 Premier League clubs to nominate representatives to serve on the board.
“This will be for one year so that we see how effective it is.
“We have informed clubs to nominate people with a position not less than a director of the club to serve on the board.
“And so far, 14 out of the 16 clubs have complied with this directive.”
The 2014/15 Ghana Premier League season commences this weekend having been delayed for three months due to protracted litigation instigated by relegated King Faisal.
