Ghana FA ready to assist Avram Grant to excel - Fred Crenstil
Ghana FA vice-president Fred Crentsil says the federation is desperate to assist Avram Grant to succeed.
Grant, former Chelsea coach, has been handed a two-and-half year deal to end the country’s long wait for an African crown.
The Israeli’s immediate task is to ‘do well’ at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and subsequently win the next edition in 2017.
The Ghana FA has already engaged the services of a physical trainer Jamie Lawrence as well a video analyst to enhance the work of the 59-year-old.
The Ghana FA has been accused of doing little to support local trainers to succeed but Crentsil says they are anxious to help the new coach to excel.
“We all know that once a coach is happy and has a sound mind to work, the results will manifest on the field of play and that is what we have been doing in the past and Avram Grant won’t be an exception,” he is quoted by sportscrusader.com
“We are very pleased with his co-operation so far and we all attest to the fact that as the days go by there will be the need for more ideas for the team to succeed at the AFCON and other future assignments.
“As you are aware we have brought on board Gerald who is a video analyst and also Jamie who will be the physical trainer for the team.”
