Ghana and Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rashid Sumaila has arrived in Ghana for his holidays after an impressive loan spell with Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia.

The 23 year old defender is set to sign for Kuwaiti sides Al Qadsia on a permanent deal after impressing in his five months loan spell with the side.

Sumaila was a member of Ghana’s 2014 world cup team but fell off pace after failing to secure a purported move abroad.

A move back to Kotoko yielded little results with a legal tussle and the GFA meaning the league in Ghana had to be held for over three months.

His move to Al Qadsia however paid full value with the Ghanaian enjoying maximum playing time and helping the Royals to a third place finish in the Kuwaiti league.

He also help Qadsia win the Emir cup during his stay his  stay in Kuwait.

He will now stay in Ghana for his holidays before returning to Kuwait to finalize the two year contract that has been offered.
