Avram Grant has confirmed plans to have Ghana play two friendly matches this month against non-European sides.

The Black Stars are yet to have a confirmed opponent for the FIFA free dates in March.

There are however reports of a lined up friendly against Mali on March 29 in France.

The GFA are limited to considering teams outside Europe due to their competitive engagements with qualifiers.

Coach Avram Grant says the target is to have two games this month but concedes there is a bit of difficulty in finding an opponent with European teams out of the picture.

“I am waiting to see what the GFA’s negotiations with the other teams but the target is to play two games at the end of the month,” the former Chelsea boss told reporters on Sunday.

“You know many teams in Europe are playing in qualification so it will be tough to play them but there is still some African teams we can play.

“It’s not let’s say what we want but, it’s want we can ……”

A prospective friendly against rivals Nigeria in London fell through due to a FIFA law which prevents teams from playing games within a limited period over two different continents.

The Super Eagles have already confirmed a friendly match against Bolivia in Uyo on March 26.
