Kilmarnock start their post-Steve Clarke era with a game against Rangers on 4th August when the new Scottish Premiership season gets underway.

Clarke left Rugby Park last month to take on the Scotland job with his last game as Killie boss being a victory against the Gers. Angelo Alessio was named as the club's new manager earlier this month.

Kilmarnock beat Steven Gerrard's team 2-1 to confirm third spot in the final table and secure their place in the Europa League. They will play Connah's Quay Nomads next month when they return to European competition for the first time in 18 years.

Meanwhile, champions Celtic will begin their bid for a record-equalling ninth successive title with a home game against St Johnstone on 3rd August.

Promoted Ross County host Hamilton and Aberdeen entertain Hearts while Livingston take on Motherwell. Hibernian will play St Mirren at Easter Road on the opening weekend of the campaign.

Opening Premiership weekend in full:

Saturday 3rd August:
Aberdeen v Hearts
Celtic v St Johnstone
Hibernian v St Mirren
Livingston v Motherwell
Ross County v Hamilton Academical

Sunday 4th August:
Kilmarnock v Rangers

Kilmarnock are 50/1 to win the Scotland Premiership 2019/20 title without Celtic while Rangers can be backed at 1/10 and Aberdeen at 7/1.
