German side Schalke set to offload Ghanaian flop Kevin-Prince Boateng
German side Schalke will offload their Ghana international midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng at the end of the season in a massive culling exercise to rid the Bundesliga club of their non-performing big earners.
The report in several German newspapers on Tuesday confirm that playing for Schalke seems to have ended for Kevin-Prince Boateng at the end of the current season.
According to a report in one of Germany's biggest newspapers the Bild, Schalke coach Roberto di Matteo and his management are planning next season without the controversial star player.
Boateng is also not averse to the change, according to the report, which will quicken the pace of severing of the contract between the two parties.
When Boateng joined Schalke two seasons ago from AC Milan he was regarded as the great hope for the German side who were seeking to improve their profile.
He was able to meet the expectations especially in his first season but this term has been disastrous for the Ghana international which has resulted in the decision to let him leave.
Boateng joined the club in 2013 from the Italian giants in 2013.
He has been injured for most of this season thus making only 13 appearances in the Bundesliga and has not scored a goal for the club this season.
