Gennaro Gattuso jokes as Lazio seek first Serie A title since 2000

Lazio manager Gennaro Gattuso has joked that both AC Milan and Napoli won the Italian championship after he left the clubs.

“AC Milan and Napoli won championships after my departure,” Gattuso said, making fun of his own record at the two clubs.

Gattuso is now in charge of Lazio, who last won the Serie A title in 2000. He was only beginning his playing career at the time.

The former Italy midfielder has also previously worked as manager of the Italy national team.
