Genk striker Rafiu Durosinmi compared with Victor Osimhen by agent
Genk forward Rafiu Durosinmi has been likened to fellow Nigeria international Victor Osimhen by his agent, Tosin Dosunmu, after making a strong start to his career in Belgium.
The 23-year-old moved to the Belgian Pro League club from Serie A side Pisa in July and has quickly become an important member of the Genk team.
Durosinmi has scored five goals in six league appearances since joining the Smurfs, making an immediate impact with his goalscoring form.
Dosunmu said the striker had reminded him of Osimhen in some aspects of his game, while highlighting Durosinmi’s aerial ability as a particular strength.
“On matchday one, he already surprised me with what he showed after barely ten days of training,” Dosunmu told Het Nieuwsblad. “Rafiu sometimes reminds me a bit of Victor Osimhen, with the difference that he is really very strong in the air.”
Despite Durosinmi’s impressive start, Dosunmu believes the forward still needs time to reach his best physical level and build a better understanding with his new team-mates.
“Condition-wise, he is not yet top-notch, and the understanding with his teammates still needs to develop a bit,” he added.
