Gasperini says Inter are benchmark as Roma prepare for 19 September clash

Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini says Inter are “the benchmark for this league”, while Como are moving closer to that standard.

Gasperini was speaking ahead of Roma’s Italian championship meeting with Inter on 19 September.

Roma have 12 points, while Inter have nine and a game in hand. At the time of publication, Inter’s match against Udinese was still being played, with the score level at 2-2 after 55 minutes.
