Gabriel, Egwuekwe In Action, Salami Missing As KuPS Lose At Home
Super Eagles FIFA 2014 World Cup stars, Azubuike Egwuekwe and Reuben Gabriel were in action for KuPS who lost 2-0 at home to HJK in the Finnish topflight on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Nigerian forward, Faith Friday Obilor played for HJK.
Both Egwuekwe and Gabriel featured for 90 minutes in the game for KuPS, but their Nigerian teammate, Gbolahan Salami did not play.
Akseli Pelvas gave HJK the lead from the penalty spot on 20 minutes before Hannu Patronen sealed the win with three minutes left.
The defeat leaves KuPS on fourth position on 20 points in the 12-team league, while HJK are top on 31 points.
Gabriel has made 12 league appearances for KuPS, scoring two goals this season, while Egwuekwe has 13 league appearances under his belt.
