The Junior Pharaohs of Egypt struggled before securing a draw against the Junior Hippos of Uganda in a friendly tie on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Egypt, who host the African Junior tournament this February came back from behind to draw one all at the Military Academy Stadium in Cairo.

The Host needed penalty shootouts before beating South Sudan after playing at regulation time on Friday.

Egypt will face Nigeria's Flying Eagles, Senegal and Mozambique in Group A but they have been unconvincing in their test games.

The Egypt 2023 U20 AFCON starts on Sunday, 19 February to 11th March in Cairo.
