'Free agent experts' Sampdoria in pole position to sign Andre Ayew

Italian side Sampdoria are set to be leading the chase for Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew who is available on a free transfer this summer.

I Blucerchiati are regarded masters for free agents after snapping up Niklas Moisander from Ajax Amsterdam and Palermo captain Edgar Barreto.

According to Il Corriere Mercantile, Sampdoria are primed to fend off competition from Serie A rivals Inter Milan, Roma and Napoli.

Ayew, 26, has categorically stated he is leaving French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille.
