Former Nigeria international Sam Sodje has stated that he is ready to go into football administration in Nigeria with his immediate target been to secure a spot on the board of the Delta State Football Association where elections are expected to hold on Tuesday the 15th of September 2020.

Sodje speaking in a chat with brila.net from his UK home said he wants to throw his heart into the ring in a bid to commence his journey into football administration in Nigeria.

He said starting from scratch is just the way to become part of the process of having a say to change the narrative without which nothing can be done.

“The main thing, the reason why I’m doing what I’m doing now there is so much talking there is so much complaining you have to be in it to change it so if we don’t have ourselves or ex-footballers in this position, it’s always going to be hard to change things.

“Not all of us want to be a coach even though I’ve got all my coaching badges and I played football for 20 years. I think I can change things having worked with the PFA in the UK so when it comes to administrative positions, that is where I want to be.”
