Former Flying Eagles winger, Yira Sor set to join Genk
Former Flying Eagles winger, Yira Sor who plays for Slavia Prague is a major target for Belgian Jupiler Pro League Giants, KRC Genk Prague, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
Report gathered from Reelradio.com.ng Genk could suggest that the transfer will as completed as soon as January 1, the opening day of the winter transfer window.
A reported record fee of €6.5m fee is on the table to aquire the signature of former Flying Eagles winger, Yira Sor from Slavia Prague.
The former 36 Lions player caught the fancy of Genk since last summer and a bid was offered for him but it feel through as the Belgian outfit could not meet up with Czech Republic champions, Slavia Prague’s asking price.
According to Belgian news outlet, HLN, Slavia Prague has already accepted Genk’s €6.5m bid for the player as Genk is determined to get the deal done and dusted when transfer window reopens in January.
The deal will see Sor become Genk’s most expensive signing surpassing compatriot, Paul Onuachu who who arrived from FC Midtjylland for €6m in 2019.
He joined Slavia Prague from the Czech F joiirst League club, Banik Ostrava in 2022 and scored 11 times and provided nine assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for Slavia Prague in an injury ravaged season.
