Former Ghana international Richard Kingson, Dan Quaye and Godwin Attram completed their return to the Ghanaian home scene by helping Accra Great Olympics to beat Asante Kotoko 3-0 in Ghana's 58th Independence Day Cup on Friday.
The trio started the tie for the Wonder Club at the Accra Sports Stadium as they cruised to a memorable win over a troubled red-jerseyed Porcupine Warriors side.
This was the official debut for the three players for Olympics after signing for them last month.
Quaye, 34, a member of Ghana's squad for their maiden FIFA World Cup appearance played his first official game since leaving Chinese side Beijing Baxy almost three years ago.
While Attram had been recently active, playing in the Arabian Peninsula, he combined his rich experience and artistic masterpiece to help the Wonder Club.
Kingson, 36, had not played for any club since leaving Turkish Super League Balikesirspor after helping them secure promotion to the top-flight.
On the afternoon, he displaced former Asante Kotoko goalie Osei Boateng to man the posts and he kept a clean sheet.
Attacker Francis Attoquaye shot Oly into the lead in the 19th minute after capitalizing on a howler by Kotoko defender Ohene Brenya who failed to clear a one-time ball from the 18-year box.
Striker Agbashie Dotse doubled the lead seven minutes later after receiving a pass from team-mate Kwame Boateng to tap in from close range.
Attoquaye, who had an excellent game, rounded up victory for the Accra giants with a well rehearsed finish in the 74th minute to end the game 3-0 in favor of the Blue and Whites.
