Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong slams Mathieu Debuchy on Twitter
Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong was not impressed by the performance of the French international against Southampton.
Arsenal were limp, dire and at times shambolic in defence today as they were comprehensively defeated 2-0 by close rivals Southampton.
The first goal was dire, Wojciech Szczseny going into no man's land before Sadio Mane pulled off a wind assisted opener.
The second goal was even worse. A cross from the right ricocheted off of Mathieu Debuchy at the back post, before falling at the feet of Szczesny - who decided to kick the ball directly to Dusan Tadic who toe-poked home the second goal for Southampton, much to the delight of the home support.
Szczesny was seemingly the main man to blame for the debacle but not in the eyes of a former team-mate.
Frimpong, who is now playing for Russian outfit FC Ufa, spent 13 years at Arsenal before leaving for Barnsley in 2014.
And he refused to criticise his old colleague, preferring instead to lay the blame squarely at the door of the summer recruit...
