Fit Awoniyi cleared to face Newcastle after head injury

Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has been declared fit for Sunday's Premier League match at Newcastle United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Awoniyi missed last weekend's game against Fulham due to a head injury, but has now been cleared to face Newcastle away at St James' Park.

The 27-year-old will have to wear a protective mask during the match, but manager Nuno Espirito Santo said Awoniyi has been given the all-clear after passing concussion protocols.

"Yes, it is clear on the concussion protocol," Santo told reporters on Friday. "So, he is available."
