FIFA U-17 WWC Qualifiers: Flamingos ease pass CAR to reach next round
Nigeria's U-17 Women National team were too much to handle for Central African Republic in the second leg of the second round of the FIFA Women's World Qualifiers in Abuja on Friday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Flamingos defeated their opponents 6-0 to win 12-0 on aggregate at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja after a first leg 6-0 win in Cameroon last week.
Chidi Harmony got the Nigerian team up and running within 2 minutes of the commencement of the game after she opened score.
She doubled the lead 12 minutes later with a long range effort before Ojiyovwi Kesiena Tessy made it 3-0 9 minutes before half time to give Nigeria a comfortable lead at the break.
Substitute Kareem Ramota lobed over the CAR goalkeeper to increase the Flamingos tally to four just 10 minutes into the second half.
Ramota added a second and Nigeria's 5th 5 minutes to the end of the half before Chidi Harmony completed her hat-trick with the sixth of the match for the Flamingos at additional time.
They will face the winner between Guinea and Burkina Faso in the third round.
