FIFA select Kanu, Cambiaso, Others To Conduct U-17 World Cup Draw

Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu, will be one of the stars of yesteryears to conduct Friday's draw of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mumbai, India, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Kanu was a key member of the Golden Eaglets side that won the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Japan with Fanny Amun in charge as coach.
Kanu scored five goals in six matches, and was in the MasterCard Best XI. The other two Nigerians in the team of the tournament were Wilson Oruma and Celestine Babayaro.
According to information provided by the official website of the Federation of international Football Association (FIFA), on Thursday, Kanu will be joined by former Argentina midfielder Estabian Cambiaso, former India captain Sunil Chhetri and badminton star Pusarla Venkata Sindhu in Friday's proceedings.
Nigeria failed to qualify for the cadet World Cup in India and thus cannot defend the title they won in 2015 in Chile.
Hosts India, Niger and New Caledonia will be making their U-17 World Cup debuts at the World Cup which will hold October 6-28, 2017.
