Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa could seek a move away from the club during the winter transfer window if he is unable to establish himself in the team after returning from injury, according to reports.

Football Insider says the Italy international may ask Liverpool’s management to allow him to leave in January if his chances of securing a regular place do not improve following his recovery.

Chiesa has missed the start of the new season because of a muscle injury. He is expected to return during the next international break, after which he will hope to work his way back into contention at Liverpool.
