Federation Cup: Sunshine Stars Face Akwa United,3SC Face Rivers United
Holders Akwa United and Sunshine Stars will clash in the standout fixture of the Federation Cup Round of 16 at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi on Tuesday.
Sunshine Stars head into the game in fine form following a run of seven games without defeat in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The Owena Waves edged Abia Comets 4-3 on penalty after regulation time ended 1-1 in the previous round, while Akwa United beat another National League side, Kwara United 1-0.
Also on Tuesday, Enugu Rangers will come up against Crown FC at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
Crown, who beat NPFL side Niger Tornadoes in the round of 32 will be looking to create another upset by stopping Rangers' march in the competition.
On Wednesday, former champions Rivers United and 3SC will clash in Kaduna.
It will be battle of Obaje brothers when Wikki Tourists face Plateau United in Akure.
Wikki who parade NPFL joint top scorer, Joshua Obaje will look to avenge their 2-0 defeat in a recent league game against the Jos- based side who have his elder brother, Godwin Obaje in their team.
In another game billed for Wednesday, Prime FC who beat Kano Pillars 2-1 in the last round will keep a date with Warri Wolves at the Aper Aku Stadium,Makurdi.
At the Ilorin Stadium Complex, FC IfeanyiUbah will tackle National League side, Katsina United, while Dynamite and Nasarawa United will clash in the last fixture.
The round of 32 fixture between Enyimba and El-Kanemi Warriors which was postponed due to the Peoples Elephant's involvement in the CAF Champions League will be played in Abuja on Wednesday.
