Fabio Capello has recalled the 1973 European Cup final, when his Juventus side lost to Ajax during Johan Cruyff’s final season with the Amsterdam club.

Capello, a former manager of the Russian national team, said: “I did not like the way Cruyff threw the European Cup into the bus.”

The match was part of Capello’s playing career, which ended in 1979.
