Rangers International have knocked out former Nigeria Football League champions, Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Federation Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Enugu side defeated the Sai Ma Gida by two goals to nil at the Abuja Goal Project on Wednesday in the round of 32 encounter.

Godwin Obaje was the hero as he scored twice to give the Flying Antelope the win as they seek a consolation for a not too good Nigeria Premier Football League season with the FA Cup title.

Obaje opened score in the 2nd minutes of the game to set the tone for victory before adding one more three minutes to the end of the first half.

The second half ended without a goal as the Rangers held to their lead to win and progress to the FA Cup round of 15.
