FA Cup: El Kanemi Warriors overpower Abia Warriors to clinch title

El Kanemi Warriors are the 2024 champions of the President Federation Cup after beating Abia Warriors in the final on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Maiduguri based team beat the Umuahia based team 2-0 courtesy of a brace from Nasiru Saliyu at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan, Lagos.
After missing a penalty on 9 minute, Salihu opened score on 31 minute before consolidating victory for his side on 68 minute.
It is El Kanemi Warriors' first major trophy in 32 years, third third time ever in their history.
With the win, El Kanemi will pick up the final Nigerian slot in the CAF Confederations Cup.
