Former Bendel Insurance midfielder, Ezekiel Tamara is hitting the ground running in the Iraq Stars League following his recent performance in his side Al Naft SC victory against Naft Al-Janoob which earned him the man of the match award, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

He took to his X handle to show his excitement after the game in the post that read; "I want to express my sincere gratitude for being awarded the Man of the Match. It's truly an honor, and I couldn't have achieved this without the support of my teammates, coaches, and fans. Every game is a collective effort, and I'm thankful to be part of such a dedicated team".

Ezekiel Tamara has completed his move from the Benin city based side to Iraqi based Al-Naft club back in February with the creative midfielder, after 6 months with the Benin Arsenals completing his medicals followed by his contract papers signature for the club.

Tamara signed a six month deal with an option to extend for a fee understood to be 10 times his previous earning.
