Italian Serie A side Parma are impressing on giants Inter Milan to end Alfred Duncan's loan spell at Sampdoria to enable them sign him as a replacement for Afriyie Acquah who could be leaving for the AFCON tournament.

Duncan, 21, is on loan at Sampdoria until the end of the season from Inter Milan.

But Parma are looking at the possibilities of convincing Inter to cancel his loan deal with Sampdoria to enable them sign him replace Afriyie Acquah who is likely be in Ghana's squad for the 2015 AFCON.

Both Duncan and Acquah are in Ghana's provisional 31-man which would be slashed to 23 for the tournament.

Duncan has just completed four Serie A games out of a possible sixteen and played a total of seven games.

Parma manager Roberto Donaldoni feels the former Ghana U20 World Cup midfielder is underutilized at Sampdoria and can be efficiently used in midfield.

Parma are wasting their time because Alfred Duncan stands equal chance as Afriyie Acquah of playing in this Afcon. What made Roberto Donadoni even imagine that Duncan won't get a chance in the Ghana squad? This is an insult to Duncan. He is good enough to be in the final 21 for the Afcon.
