Ghanaian youngster Said Ahmed Said is on the verge of being drafted into Ghana’s Olympic team ahead of the 2015 All Africa Games return leg qualifier against Mozambique, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The Ghana FA is firming up background checks on the Genoa striker before finalizing his invitation, insiders have told Ghana’s leading football website.
It's unclear if the 21-year-old has switched allegiance to the place of his birth, Ghana after featuring for the Italy Under-19 side.
Coach Malik Jabir has also requested for the services of Yusif Raman Chibsah, Isaac Honny, Ebenezer Ofori, Raymond Gyasi, Joachim Adukor and Peter Oduro Kwarteng, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
However Oduro Kwarteng, who plays for Egyptian side Petrojet, could be left out of the squad over documentation issues.

The Black Meteors host Mozambique in the return leg fixture next month, desperate to qualify to the next stage of the qualifying campaign.
