Veteran coach Kadiri Ikhana and former Super Eagles captain Augustine Eguavoen are top favourites to land the Kano Pillars top job as the Nigeria Professional Football League club get set to name a new coach this weekend, nigeriasoccernet.com can report exclusively.

Also, former Plateau United coach Zachary Baraje and one-time Enugu Rangers manager Lawrence Akpokona are on the list of top-rated coaches currently in talks with the management of the four-time NPFL champions.

Babaganaru stepped down as Kano Pillars manager at the close last season, linking up with Wikki Tourists of Bauchi where he replaced Abdul Maikaba.

Completesportsnigeria.com gathered that new management of Kano Pillars led by Babangida Tukur will this week appoint a new coach to lead the team in the coming season.
