Former Nigeria World Cup star Benedict Akwuegbu has tipped Usman Mohammed, Stanley Dimgba and Oghenekaro Etebo for greatness after what they showed at the U23 AFCON in Senegal.
"I must congratulate the coach Samson Siasia-led team for a job well done and commend the players for their determinations to excel,” said the Gratkon of Austria manager.
"I didn't watch all their games in Senegal but from those that I watched I was impressed most with the performances of Usman Mohammed, Stanley Dimgba and Oghenekaro Etebo.
“They showed class at the tournament and I see them moving the team at the Olympics next year. They will go far in their careers if they continued to develop and strive hard."
Midfielder Usman Mohammed was an ever-present for Nigeria, while Etebo finished as top scorer of the tournament with five goals as Nigeria won the second edition of the U23 AFCON.
Dimgba was outstanding in the first two group games against Mali and Egypt, before he was ruled out of the competition by an ankle injury.
