Ex-Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffu held his first training session with Lebanese side Al-Ansar on Tuesday.

Akuffu, 29, has signed a three-year deal with the Western Asian side after ending his long association with the Ghanaian League champions.

The former FC Popa loanee is expected to be key figure for the Lebanese side ahead of the start of the new season.

He played an influential role for Kotoko as they ditched arch-rivals Hearts of Oak 2-1 in Ghana’s super derby on Sunday.
