Ex Ghana defender Samuel Osei Kuffour ripped into Jose Mourinho in the wake of Chelsea’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League – describing the Portuguese coach as not amongst the best in the world.

The English giants were dumped out of the Europe on Wednesday night on the away goal’s rule after 10-man PSG battled them to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues failed to impress on the night despite having a man’s advantage for over 90 minutes – with the game heading into extra time – and being awarded a dodgy penalty kick.

Chelsea lacked the initiative despite playing before their home crowd – ceding possession most of the time to the quality French side.

Sammy Kuffour in his post-match analysis for SuperSport blamed Jose Mourinho for the side’s exit from the Champions League – saying his draconian tactics whenever playing in Europe makes him inferior to the other ‘better’ coaches.

"What was he trying to do, it was all wrong....they behaved very bad on the day and Mourinho was his fault", Kuffuor said on Supersport.

"This is not what great managers do and this is not from the best coaches.

"I have been in the hands of some of the great coaches that have done what Mourinho has done better.

"You can't compare Mourinho to Trapattoni.”

Kuffour’s comments add to the chorus of criticisms currently coming the way of Jose Mourinho.

    Sammy's comments dont suprise me cos he's always been a sore loser since bayern fell to chelsea which drew tears from him.although correct about mourinho's tactics on the night,sammy's overall assessment was buried in beef.

    Kuffour shut the hell up. Jose has over 20 titles in how many years? if you think coaching is that easy go and coach. players have their part to share or did you quickly forget (Ghana vs Italy 2006)...let that ring a bell. Even great managers loses games so don't be stupid and disrespect Jose.

    Sammy Kuffour was a disappointment to football analysts. I followed him live when he mentioned that he ‘‘hate Chelsea because they- Chelsea did something against him during his playing days.’’ And it was a shame he could mention that in studio as a panelist. Maybe he should be told or reminded, Nana Agymang analysis best but he took Eleven Wise to relegation. It doesn't take Sammy Kuffour's hype or comment to knw that Mourinho is in the class of the best coaches in the wide world, even in the list of the best coaches of all time.

    U dumb ass player... So sad u hv easily forgotten what Ronaldo did to u in the 2006 WC. U are also not even one of Bayerns best defenders.u are been recognized cos u cried like a baby in 1999.u said u hate chelsea and we the chelsea fans don't even hate u cos u are nobody... Dumbass

    massa Kuffour only expressed an opinion nd neva insulted jose so please u have to respect that. i know jose is indeed one of the best, bt man u wll agree wt me that jose lost it this tym. PSG were numerically disadvantaged within 36 min.in d 1st half nd jose cldnt kill d game within regulation tym? nd u want us to still praise him nd sweep this under the carpet? massa give us a break

He is the only couche who don't accept his fault and due to that he will always lose a big match ...... And Chelsea fans should please forget about another UEF Legue .....
