Following his decent performance for NK Istra against NK Lomotiva in the Croatian elite league game on Sunday, Salim Fago Lawal has earned him a slot in the team of the week, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The U-20 World Cup star's performance in the game and his prolific strike in his side's 2-1 win over NK Lomotiva did not go unnoticed.

He played for 58 minutes, giving a good account of himself before he suffered a knock that made him to be replaced.

Lawal was one of the standout players for the Ladan Bosso-led Flying Eagles at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina last year.

The 21-year-old will later sign a three-year deal with Croatian First Division side NK Istra from Mavlon FC in Nigeria.
