Everton sack Silva after Merseyside derby defeat against Liverpool
Ale Moreno wonders whether Mikel Arteta would rather manage Arsenal or Everton if both options were available.
Everton have sacked Marco Silva with the club 18th in the Premier League table after winning only four of their opening 15 league games this season.
Sources have told ESPN that despite reports that David Moyes is being considered for a return to the club, there are divisions within the Goodison Park hierarchy over him coming back.
Marco Silva, 42, was appointed Everton manager in May 2018 on a three-year contract.
Silva joined Everton on a three-year contract in May 2018, but a 5-2 hammering against a second-string Liverpool sideĀ in the Premier League on Wednesday was the latest in a long run of unconvincing results that led to his dismissal.
Before joining Everton, Silva spent a 10-month spell at fellow Premier League side Watford, and was in charge of Hull City during their relegation to the Championship in 2017.
