Ethan Mbappe seals Lille victory over Troyes in Ligue 1

Lille beat Troyes 2-0 at home on Sunday to secure victory in the fourth round of Ligue 1.

The hosts were favourites before kick-off and appeared to make a fast start when Hakon-Arnar Haraldsson found the net in the second minute. However, the goal was ruled out.

Lille did not have to wait long for a valid opener. Tiago Santos put the home side ahead in the 18th minute after being set up by Dilan Bakwa.

Lille continued to control the game after the interval and maintained their advantage for most of the second half.

Ethan Mbappe completed the scoring in stoppage time, with Maurits Kjaergaard providing the assist.
