The former Enyimba winger will go on a season-long loan until the end of the 2022-23 season.
The loan move of Iwuala to the Algerian champions is expected to be finalized with Esperance (Tunisia) facing CR Belouizdad (Algeria) in a pre-season friendly game on Monday.
Some reports suggest that Iwuala's move was necessitated by the need for Esperance the reduce the number of foreign players in the team.
He made 30 appearances in all competitions for the Taraji last season and scored 3 goals with 4 assists.
