Nine-time NPFL champions Enyimba are set to announce Deji Ayeni as their new technical adviser, with an official reveal expected next week, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Ayeni, 53, is set to take the reins from suspended coach Stanley Eguma, who was relieved of his duties in November due to poor results.

Lawrence Ukaegbu has been holding fort in an interim capacity, but Ayeni's appointment will bring stability to the People's Elephant.

The experienced coach, who last managed Crown FC of Ogbomosho in the NNL, has a wealth of experience in Nigerian football, having worked with top clubs like Sunshine Stars and Akwa United.

Ayeni's task is clear: revive Enyimba's fortunes in the second half of the 2025/26 season.
