Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari is on the verge of returning to the English Premier League as Hull City are seeking to sign the AC Milan enforcer.

According to The Sun, Hull City are the front-runners to sign the Ghanaian midfielder.

Muntari, best known for his one-year spell with Portsmouth in 2007-08, only signed a new two-year deal with current club AC Milan last year, after spending time at rivals Inter previously.

But earlier this month, Muntari had asked AC Milan not to be involved in their away match at Palermo, having learned that he is not in the club’s plans for next season.

In all honesty, it’s been a dour spell for the 30-year-old in Italy.

And now, the Muntari seemingly wants to return to English football, with The Sun linking the Tigers to his signature.

It’s a new name added to the long list of potential ‘targets’ for Hull City, so we’ll wait patiently to see if there’s more in this.
