‘End of a great football season in Nigeria?
The 2023/24 Nigerian Premier League Football season ends this weekend in Nigeria.
All roads lead to Tin-city, Jos, where Rangers International FC, clear winners with one match to go, will play their last match against Plateau United FC.
From our observatory in Eagle7 Sports Radio 103.7 FM, a new era in the story of Nigeria’s domestic football may have been born this outgoing season.
My conversation this Saturday morning on ‘90 minutes with Mathematical’ will be with two of the administrators at the helm of affairs, heading this refreshingly new revolution - Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, Chairman of the Nigerian Premier Football League, NPFL, and 2nd Vice-President of the Nigeria Football Federation; and Davidson Owumi, aka ‘Okada’, former International football player and current CEO of the NPFL.

We shall be skirting around the sad developments in the Super Eagles that have created the need for higher quality domestic leagues that will produce higher quality, special players for the national team.
