Emery to juggle his options
Unai Emery says he will continue to rotate his squad as Arsenal attempt to finish in the top four of the Premier League and win the Europa League.
The Gunners edged ahead of Manchester United and into fourth spot on Sunday by beating Southampton 2-0.
United were held to a goalless draw by Liverpool at Old Trafford while fellow top-four hopefuls Chelsea were involved in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
The weekend results leave Arsenal at 2/1 to finish in the top four, Manchester United at 6/5 and Chelsea at 6/5.
First-half goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Henrikh Mkhitaryan proved sufficient as Arsenal eased to victory against Saints and they are 4/9 to beat Bournemouth in their next Premier League match on Wednesday.
"For us it is a positive. But it does not change our way, game by game," Emery said after the routine win. "Wednesday is a very important game against Bournemouth at home.
"I think this is a moment where we will use different players for fresh pace and some fresh energy. And with quality. We need a mix, to rest some players for the next match. Because we are going to play a lot of matches, we played Thursday, Sunday, and again on Wednesday and Saturday.
"We decided to do some changes in the squad against Southampton and now we must carry on our intensity and carry on our performances with different players. Now we need to be together and to feel strong with every player.
"We have the possibility to take each match with the intensity we want."
