Emery looking for 'big' performance
Unai Emery says his Arsenal side have to make sure that they secure a big result when they host BATE Borisov in the second leg of the Europa League last-32 tie.
The Spanish head coach admitted that the performance in the first leg in Belarus, which ended in a shock 1-0 defeat, was far from good enough and he expects to see a much improved showing on Thursday evening.
We are not thinking about winning the competition, we are thinking about tomorrow night.
Unai Emery
He told reporters: "For us, tomorrow is very important. We need a big result.
"We had chances to score (last week) and our efficiency we need to improve tomorrow. We must manage 90 minutes to get a good result for us. We need to be consistent in 90 minutes.
"We have big respect for BATE. We are not thinking about winning the competition, we are thinking about tomorrow night."
The Gunners, who will be without suspended striker alex Lacazette, are available at 11/2 to win 2-0 in 90 minutes on Thursday, with Arsenal 1/4 to reach the last-16 of the Europa League and 6/1 to go all the way and win the competition.
Meanwhile, Emery also spoke about playmaker Mesut Ozil, who has not featured since late January, sitting out the last three games in all competitions.
He added: "The key is in his hands and he is working very well this week.
"I ask him in our conversation for consistency, to be available for us for training - when you can train consistently you can help us with your best performance in the games.
"He needs to be available consistently for training, without the injuries, without the sickness. Without that we can see the best Mesut with us."
