Emery eyes four new signings
Unai Emery is convinced that Arsenal will have signed up to four new players when the 2019/20 campaign gets underway in just over three weeks' time.
The Gunners have been criticised for a lack of new faces this summer - their only capture so far has been the 18-year-old forward Gabriel Martinelli.
Emery has been linked with Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, Celtic's Kieran Tierney, Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos and Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba but as yet no major signings have been finalised.
Emery remains calm though and insists he is close to completing several major deals.
"We are working, the club is working with the possibility to sign some new players to help us," he said. "We are doing a lot of meetings with the club, with (technical director) Edu, with Raul (Sanllehi, head of football) and also with Josh and Stan Kroenke on Monday in Denver.
"We have a clear idea to sign players to help us with quality and in the positions we need.
"We are being patient and keeping calm because we really want to sign players who can help us with a big performance and also because we think in the team we have very good players and young players and we also need to take the best player in some positions.
"Really, I can say to our supporters that we are going to have a very good team with the players that are there now and also with three or four players who can help us in a few days."
Arsenal are 5/4 to finish in the top four of the Premier League in 2019/20 and 19/20 to beat Newcastle United in the first game of the season on 11th August.
