Coach Edwin Okon is a broken man after Rivers Angels side suffered a narrow defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in CAF Champions League game.

The two time Nigerian Champions suffered a controversial 1-0 defeat to the South African in Tuesday’s second Group game played at the June 30 stadium in Cairo.

Sundowns captain Zanele Nhlapo was awarded a controversial match-winner on the 17th minute after Rivers Angels failed to clear their lines.

 

After the game, Okon expressed his disappointment stating how he is broken by the defeat.

“This Defeat Breaks my heart as a coach,” he said.

“It was a good game, but not from our side. We created many chances but did not score. But the goal we conceded is what makes me unhappy.

River Angels who are now face will take on Vihiga Queens of Kenya in their final group game on Friday at the June 30 stadium in Cairo.
