Interim Hearts coach Eddie Ansah wants to be handed the job on a permanent basis after guiding the team to a fourth-placed finish at the end of the season.

The former Ghana goalkeeper insists he’s the right man for the job despite doubt surrounding his pedigree.

Ansah believes he has the credentials to lead the team to Premier League success next season.

“I am grateful to God for what he has done for me. I took over at a very difficult time but I’m glad we finished well,” he said

“I believe I can handle the job on a permanent basis. That is the decision of the board and the management but can do it….why not?

The ex-Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer took over from Herbert Addo and guided the team to safety after flirting with relegation for several months.
