Dyche weighing up his options
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is still on the lookout for the right deal to try and bolster his Clarets squad, having snapped up Erik Pieters and Jay Rodriguez already this summer.
Defender Pieters and striker Rodriguez are the only two senior signings made by the Turf Moor club during the off-season, but Dyche is still surveying the market to see if there are further additions that could help out.
We will keep working, keep searching and see if we can find something that works.
Sean Dyche
He told the Lancashire Express: "What is out there to make us continue to improve is a debate on what is available and whether we can then make it happen.
"We have to make sure we have enough in our locker to ensure we can take on a whole season.
"That is why we are still looking, not because I don't believe in the lads, it is just can we improve it and get more competitive in all areas?
"We will keep working, keep searching and see if we can find something that works."
Last season Burnley struggled in the early part of the campaign, before a run of just four losses in 16 Premier League games saw them pull clear of relegation danger to eventually finish in 15th place in the table.
The Clarets are priced at 15/8 to be relegated this season, while they are 6/4 to open their campaign with a home win over Southampton on Saturday 10th August.
