Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Shane Duffy is confident that defensive partner Lewis Dunk has not had his head turned by talk of a possible summer transfer.

Twenty-seven-year-old Dunk, who made his senior England debut last November against the United States, has been heavily linked with a possible move to Leicester City, should Harry Maguire leave the Foxes.

You can see by the way he is around the place, it's just the same as normal. His head is nowhere near turned.

However, Duffy says he has not detected any change in approach from Dunk and is hoping that he will be able to continue his highly effective defensive partnership with his team-mate this season.

The Irishman told the Argus: "Anyone who knows him knows he loves this club to pieces. You can see his performances and the way he's training.

"You can see by the way he is around the place, it's just the same as normal. His head is nowhere near turned.

"It's football and anyone's name can be linked, but it just shows how well he's done at this club. But I think his head is here and, hopefully, for this club and us as a team, he will (stay) here."

The Seagulls finished just one place and two points clear of the drop zone last term, with Graham Potter brought in to succeed Chris Hughton for the upcoming campaign.

Albion are 3/1 to make a inning start to the season at Watford on Saturday 10 th August, with the draw 12/5 and a 1-1 final scoreline 6/1.
