The U-23 National team, Dream Team VI will depart Banjul Gambia, on Wednesday where it has been camping for the past 10 days in preparation for the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Senegal.

A statement issued by Ademola Olajire, Assistant Director, Communications, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) quoted the team’s secretary Sirajo Hassan as saying that the delegation includes 23 players.

It said that 10 officials would accompany the team, expected to depart Banjul onboard an Arik Air plane to Dakar.

The team is expected to play its last friendly game before departing Banjul, against the Gambian Under-20 side, the Baby Scorpions, on Nov. 25 at 5 p.m., Nigerian time.

The statement said that the team on arrival in Dakar, Senegal, would proceed to Mbour, venue of its first group B games.

The Dream Team VI is expected to begin its quest to qualify for the Rio Olympics when they take on West African rivals Mali on Nov. 29 at the Caroline Faye Stadium, in Mbour.

Nigeria is drawn in Group B alongside Algeria, Mali and Egypt.
