Donyell Malen sent off as Roma held to goalless draw by Como

Como and Roma played out a 0-0 draw in the sixth round of Serie A, with the visitors forced to spend much of the second half with 10 men.

The decisive moment came in the 53rd minute when Roma forward Donyell Malen was shown a red card, leaving his side a player down.

Roma subsequently had to place greater emphasis on protecting their goal as Como looked to make use of their numerical advantage. The home side increased the pressure and created opportunities to attack, but could not turn that dominance into a winning goal.

The result saw both teams take one point.

Como moved up to sixth in the Serie A table with 11 points, while Roma retained second place after raising their tally to 14 points.
