Super Eagles midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali had joined LaLiga SmartBank side joins SD Ponferradina, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

After leaving SD Huesca following a fall out with the management as a result of him choosing to represent Nigeria at the 2021 AFCON in January, the midfielder has remained without a club.

Although couple of clubs requested for his services but the former AD Alcorcón player turned down those offers.

However as announced by SD Ponferradina on Thursday evening, the Owerri born player will be with them for next season.
